Hi folks, Dave here! Welcome to the site. It's a little skeletal at the moment, but don't worry we're gonna get some meat on those bones soon.
Meanwhile, you're here. I'm here. Why don't you stay a while? Grab yourself a cup of tea. Make yourself comfortable. Would you like to fold a crane?
This site is a passion-project of mine that I've been meaning to get back up and slow-running for a while now. My goal is to teach others to make origami (and enlist the help of stealth-cranes to further that goal).
The word orizuru means paper crane in Japanese, and shares the same "ori" from origami. For those that know me, I'm a little obsessed with these little paper birds, and may remember my old site yeahbutnah.com. Sadly, the domain there ran past its renewal date and that ship has now sailed. It left the harbour long ago and it ain't coming back with cigarettes. Yeah, that would be my bad.
What you're seeing now is a newer iteration of that project. I'm playing with the idea of resurfacing some old content, restoking the flames that spin the turbines of my creative juices, and well, generally using this site as an outlet...for the part of me that... needs an outlet. I'd like to put some of that here, but I make no promises to make regular updates! So we'll see.
Check in once in a while to see how things develop. Who knows, I might even get the blog up and running again.
Also, while we're here, I would love it if you had a look at my start-up business. I'm the proud owner/operator of ORIZURU Limited, working under the banner of ORIZURU CAD and Design:
I freelance my professional drafting services, taking on overflow for companies that work in construction and design, primarily in New Zealand using AutoCAD and Civil3D software packages.
If you or any companies you know deal with land development (surveying, GIS, civil engineering, landscaping, etc.), it would be a mighty boon if you mentioned the name! Thanks :)

That's it for now.
Stay tuned, classy, frosty and focussed!
